Studio Self Portraits

“Self portraits enable me to create an honesty about the realities of how I see myself as an artist and woman artist. It enables me to look at the struggles that I have had to deal with in my life.
My work is In between realism and illustration , it does not fit in to conventional portraiture. I use a strong use of colour and handmade canvases mean I can create organic textures within the paint.”
